RileyDanceMarathon_LogoThe 6th annual PHS Riley Dance Marathon will take place this Saturday beginning in the Plymouth High cafeteria at 12 p.m. Hundreds of PHS students will stay on their feet for as long as they can to raise money for all the kids who physically cannot.

Dance Marathon is a multi-hour, multi-faceted event that blends dancing, games, crafts, food, and fun into one philanthropic experience. Students are on their feet the entire duration of the marathon as well, as they stand for the kids at Riley.

As a mini-marathon under Ball State University, the money Plymouth High School raises will help fund the Magic Castle Cart program at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis as well as their Palliative Care Center.

This year’s event will conclude Saturday evening at half time during the Boys Varsity Basketball matchup against LaPorte – (start time is 6:30 – JV, then varsity). PHS Dance Marathon students will perform a special halftime dance routine at the varsity game and then we will unveil the total dollar amount raised this year.
In the past five years, the PHS Riley Dance Marathon has donated more than $100,000 to the hospital for children.

Monetary donations can be made in person, at the event, at Saturday’s game, or on line at  http://donate.rileykids.org/phsdm17

Last year, the PHS Dance Marathon raised $29,306.44 for the kids at Riley Hospital!  This year they hoping the community will help them make this the biggest year yet by making a donation.
