The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team defeated the Triton Trojans on Monday night by a score of 49-35. The Red Storm jumped to an early lead and never looked back. Leading the team with 22 points was Jake Reichard while Owen Yoder chipped in 13 points.
In one half of “B” action, the Red storm fell by a score of 13-16. Matthew Janus score 9 of Lincoln’s 13 points. Lincoln continues competition this week by traveling to Thomas Jefferson in Valpo on Tuesday and Laporte Boston on Thursday.
The Lincoln 7th Grade Boys Basketball A Team hit the road to take on the Thomas Jefferson Vikings in Valparaiso on Tuesday night. The Red Storm held a 4 point lead going into the half but an energized Vikings team came out and jumped on the Red Storm early in the second half, leading to an eventual 35-32 win for Thomas Jefferson. Lincoln outscored the home team in 3 of the 4 quarters, but could only manage 2 points in that pivotal 3rd quarter. Leading the way for Lincoln was Colin Chupp with 16 points.
