ljh_digitalstormWednesday evening the auditorium at Lincoln Junior High in Plymouth was filled with guests anxious to see the first annual LJH Digital Storm Film Festival.

8th grade film student in Mrs. Neidlinger’s Mass Media II class created five minute films.  The students wrote, directed, filmed and edited the movies.  While many of the films were shot on location at the junior high, some teams shot at a private home or park.

Neidlinger said students have spent approximately a month and a half on the original projects.

After viewing all six films Neidlinger presented awards.  The films were judged by people outside of northern Indiana.

Winners were: Best Cinematography – Piece by Piece; Best Film Editing – In the Hallway; Best Visual Effects – The Presence; Best Sound Editing Two in One and Best Film – In the Hallway.  Other winners were Best Female Supporting Role – Kyee Dalton; Best Male Supporting Role – Austin Kizer; Best Female Leading Role – Kaleigh Kephart and Best Male Leading Role – Drew Harrell.
