The report of a possibly impaired driver Thanksgiving night just before 10 sent Marshall County Police to US 31 southbound from US 6.
County officers located the suspect vehicle on US 30 just east of US 31 and determined the driver, 24 year old Lucas Elder of Warsaw to be impaired. He was taken for a certified chemical test and later lodged into the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance.
A passenger in the vehicle, 24 year old Andrea French also of Warsaw was arrested for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.
