The Riverside Intermediate School Spell Bowl team traveled to North Liberty on Thursday, November 17 to compete in the District Spell bowl competition. The team scored 50 out of 56 words correctly to bring home the championship.
Near perfect scores were Thad Pletcher and Rachel Ray. Perfect scores for the team are Hannah Leech, Addie Kingston, Cassidy Riddle, and Mallory McIntire. Lauren Edison and Raina Sanderson each missed two words in their round. The team is coached by Coach Mindy Mattis.
