On Sunday, November 20th, Plymouth High School will serve as the host for the Nortwest site of the Indiana Bandmaster’s “All-District Honor Band.” This band is comprised of students from over thirty high schools across northern Indiana. The top students from these schools are selected by a panel of directors from nearly two hundred applicants. There will be one hundred and thirty students involved in the honor band this year.

The Plymouth High School Band has numerous students who were selected for this honor band. These student include: Isabel Nunez (flute), Callie Burch (clarinet), Jared Thieling (trumpet), Justin Russell (horn), Abby Szombathy (horn), Brian Hernandez (baritone), Isaak Holcomb (tuba), and Autumn Wilson (percussion).

The band will rehearse at Plymouth High School for several hours on Saturday, November 19th, to prepare for the Sunday concert. The guest conductor for the event will be Mr. Randy Greenwell, director of bands at Lawrence Central High School. Mr. Greenwell’s band have been both state and national champions during his many years at Lawrence Central.

The band will perform a public concert, which is free and open to the public, on Sunday, November 20th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Plymouth High School auditorium. Congratulations to the eight students from Plymouth High School who were selected to perform in this event.
