Plymouth High School students and staff invite all United States Veterans who have served our country to gather this Friday, November 11, at 9:00 a.m. in the PHS varsity gym. PHS graduates Ensign Meagan Barron and Captain Sean Flynn will be our guests of honor for this year’s program.
Prior to the Veterans Day program, Plymouth High School student leaders will once again host a breakfast for our veterans free of charge beginning at 7:45 a.m. Veterans and their family members who would like to attend are asked to park in the east parking lot (football stadium side), and enter through door 7.
PHS asks veterans who would like to join our students for breakfast to please RSVP for breakfast by calling Plymouth High School at (574) 914-4849 and speak to Kelsey Flynn.

For those who cannot physically attend the Plymouth High School program can listen to live coverage on WTCA AM 1050 or FM 106.1. or watch the program in the comfort of your own home streamed live via computer. Ensign Meagan Barron will perform a special flag raising ceremony at the Veterans Day program.
Ensign (ENS) Meagan Barron graduated from Plymouth High School in 2011. She commissioned into the United States Navy in 2015 from the Virginia Military Institute and Mary Baldwin College. After graduation Ensign Barron deployed with USS Essex (LHD-2), a United States Navy Wasp-class amphibious assault ship.
While on the 844 foot ship with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, Ensign Barron conducted strike missions in Iraq and Syria in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) during deployment to 5th and 7th fleet areas of operation.
Currently ENS Barron is a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) stationed in San Diego. She currently works in the Operations Department as the operations intelligence division officer.
Captain Sean Flynn will be the keynote speaker at the Veterans Day program. Captain Sean Flynn is a 2008 Plymouth High School graduate who attended West Point Military Academy and was commissioned in 2012 after graduation. Captain Flynn was a tank platoon leader during his 8 month Deployment in Kuwait in 2013. Captain Flynn was chosen for the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Program and is currently in a second year law student at the University of Notre Dame.Upon graduation, Captain Flynn will be serving as a United States Army JAG Officer. Captain Flynn is married to Ann-Marie and they live in South Bend.
The public is welcome to attend other Plymouth Community School Corporation Veterans Day celebrations on November 11: at 10:00 a.m. Webster Elementary School will host a school wide assembly that all local veterans are encouraged to attend with their family.
At 2:00 p.m. Riverside Intermediate School is holding a school wide assembly in the school’s gymnasium. All veterans are welcome to attend and at 2:10 p.m. – Lincoln Jr. High School is holding a school wide spirit assembly in the school’s main gym that has a Veterans Day theme. The assembly is open to the public and veterans are encouraged to attend.
