MugShot_Raymond Grummell SrOn Tuesday August 2nd, of this year, at approximately 3:40 in the morning, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call in reference to a vehicle fire in the 11,000 block of 4A Road.

The vehicle was parked in a driveway of a residence and the nature of the fire was believed to be suspicious.   An investigation by the State Fire Marshal`s Office determined it was an arson fire.

A resident where the fire occurred was able to provide information leading to a suspect, Raymond Grummell Sr, of South Bend. After an extensive investigation Marshall County Police were able to obtain an arrest warrant for the crime of arson.

On Wednesday, October 27th, 48 year old Raymond Grummell Sr. was located in South Bend and taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
