The Plymouth girls showed resolve and great spirit on Saturday placing fifth in the Warsaw sectional.  Full results attached.

Seniors Katie Johnson and Nicole Horvath gave great efforts!  Katie fired an 88 and earned her way to next Saturday’s Regional at Cobblestone Golf Club in Kendallville.  This marks Katie’s second consecutive year competing in the Regional.  Last season as a team – this season as an individual.
Nicole had the best round of her career carding a 92.  At the end of play Nicole was tied with Lexi Miller from Bremen for the third remaining individual (non-advancing team) spot. Under stress and lack of daylight Nicole’s playoff hole didn’t go in her favor.  The excitement of the moment, large gallery, and having played well all day long will be an experience Nicole will remember for a long time.
Play was suspended around 12:30 due to rain and standing water on greens. When play resumed about 2pm the girls had to regain their rhythm. Katie completed her first hole in the rain, Nicole didn’t finish #1.  I was especially proud of the following girls who failed to start until play resumed – 1.5 hours after their drenching warmup.
Jennah Nifong 118

Emily Cochern 120
Brittney Klotz 124

Getting one and almost two individuals to Regional puts a good cap on our season. The improvement and resiliency of the girls today and throughout this wet fall was special.
