333SMichigan_1During the storm Monday evening, a large tree on Louisa Street uprooted and feel on a home owned by Matthew and Michelle Glaub at 333 South Michigan Street.

333SMichigan_2The maple tree landed on the rear portion of the home breaking through the roof, breaking windows and causing a portion of the structure to collapse.

333SMichigan_3Although the tree was standing on the City of Plymouth terrace, or city property the homeowner is responsible for the clean up since the incident was an act of god.

Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt said the homeowner must turn the incident over to their personal insurance carrier and then that insurance company may file a claim against the city.
