Several bids were awarded during Monday’s Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.
Haskins Underground of Plymouth was the low bidder for the Plymouth Goshen Tail water main extension project. Their winning bid was $511,632. The sanitary sewer improvement project for the Boys and Girls Club was awarded to Thomas Excavating of Culver with a low bid of $120,853.
The final bid awarded was for a front-end loader for the city street department. After reviewing the three bids, Superintendent Jim Marquardt recommended the middle bid of Westside Tractor Sales of South Bend at $152,500. Marquardt said the weights of the tipping load from both McAllister Inc. and RPM Machinery was less than what the city had requested in their bid. Westside’s bid was within the budget allowed for the purchase.
