Debbie Palmer, Program Director for the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District is looking for “Citizen Scientists”.
Palmer is looking for a group of volunteers such as home schooled students, scout troops, traditional classrooms or even senior citizens who may be looking for a science based project or the opportunity to help out in their county. Volunteers would be trained to collect data and assist in monitoring the Yellow River as it flows through the county.
The Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District just finished one year of water testing of the Yellow River. Palmer would like to train a group of volunteers to continue with the data collection for monitoring the river.
If you or your group would be interested in getting an environmental corp, started in Marshall County, call Debbie Palmer at Marshall County Soil & Water at 574-936-2024 x 3.
