ArrestedSunday evening, May 1, about 5:40 County Patrolman Jonathan Bryant conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Michigan and 6A Road. During the stop the driver, 39 year old William Neiswender of Plymouth was found to have two active warrants for his arrest. Officers also located narcotics in the vehicle he was driving.

A passenger in the vehicle, 31 year old James Palmer also of Plymouth was found to be possessing Methamphetamine paraphernalia.  He was also arrested.

Both subjects were lodged at the Marshall County Jail.  Mr. Neiswender has held with no bond on the warrants and a $1,000.00 cash bond on new charges. Mr. Palmer has a $3,000.00 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
