Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger said 86 year old Richard E. Corl of
Bremen died shortly after noon today when he fell from his boat while fishing in
Lake Maxinkuckee. The incident remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and
the Enforcement Division of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Cleavenger
said it is unclear why Corl fell from the boat but it is believed that a previous medical
condition may have played a factor. The incident remains under investigation.
