City NEwsBernie Erickson was granted approval to divide one acre off a 17 acre plot on 11th Road to create a single family building lot.  Erickson told the Plymouth Plan Commission Tuesday night he plans on giving his granddaughter the lot to build a home on.

The Plan commission questions a few items on the lot, an old foundation, a barn that is falling down and some unsightly brush.  Erickson said the foundation has been removed, the brush cut and he’s waiting on a person interested in salvaging the barn.

The Board approved his request.

Plan Commission members were updated on the Wallace property at 404 Alexander Street.  Mrs. Margo Wallace was given a couple of months to removed piles of debris on her residential property.  Bill Wallace said they hauled 6 loads out with another one on the trailer ready to go.  He also said the small tool shed on the property will be removed in a few days.

On Tuesday night she asked for a couple days to complete the requirements.  Wallace was granted a one week extension and the city’s code enforcement officer check on the property for compliance.

Another update given to the Plymouth Plan Commission was for the Dan Lowry used car lot on West Jefferson Street. Lowry attended the meeting and told the board he plans to close the business.

When asked about his time frame Lowry said he as 23 cars in inventory left to sell. He anticipated them all gone within two months.

The Plan Commission is also requiring Lowry remove the temporary office structure on the property.
