2016 Annual Dinner Flyer
The Marshall County Historical Society will feature James H. Madison, the Thomas and Kathryn Miller Professor Emeritus of History at Indiana University in Bloomington for the 45th Marshall County Historical Society Annual Dinner on Wednesday, April 27 at 6 PM at Christo’s Banquet Center.

Madison presents a sparkling new look at Indiana history with his presentation, “Cars, Hoosiers and 20th Century Change,” that tells the stories about the issues and ever-changing challenges facing Hoosiers in the 19th and 20 centuries and their fascinating journey to where they are today .

An award-winning teacher, Madison has taught at Hiroshima University, Japan and at the University of Kent, Canterbury, England.  He is also the author of several books, including “Eli Lilly:  A Life; A Lynching in the Heartland”, “Race and Memory in America”, “Slinging Doughnuts for the Boys” and   “An American Woman in World War ll”.  His most recent books are “Hoosiers:  A New History of Indiana”, co-published by the Indiana Historical Society Press and Indiana University Press, for adult readers, and “Hoosiers and the American Story” for young readers.

Tickets for the Marshall County Historical Society Annual Dinner on April 27th can be purchased for $30 for members and $35 for non-members at the Marshall County Museum, 123 North Michigan Street in Plymouth.
