This month members of the Marshal County Drainage Board awarded bids on two maintenance projects.
Langfeldt Excavating was the low bidder for the Bohmer Ditch. The project will clean 5,500 feet at Lake of the Woods. All stumps will be treated at the time of cutting and brush will be piled or burned within the 75 feet right-of-way. Bidders were LDP at $15,000; Koontz & King at $10,499 and Langfeldt at $8,550.
Langfeldt was also awarded the McGrift-Hooker Ditch project. They will clean approximately 4,000 feet of the ditch by clearing all brush from the side and burning or burying the material. Koontz & King bid $5,199 while Langfeldt’s low bid was $4,800.
