vocabularyNot only was Plymouth High School the state winner in Vocabulary.com’s Vocabulary Bowl for the month of February, but the high school was ranked seventh in the nation.

According to Vocabulary.com website, vocabulary.com teaches you words by systematically exposing you to a wide array of question types and activities that will help you understand all the meanings and nuances of every word you’re learning.  The site combines the world’s smartest dictionary with an adaptive learning game that will have you mastering new words in no time.

The website recognizes not only Plymouth High School students for this impressive accomplishment, but English teachers Mrs. Wezeman, Mr. Martin, and Ms. Doerr as well.

Mrs. Wezeman said, “I’m happy that we were state champions last month, and I’m proud of our students for our winning streak.  We took the monthly state championship from McCutcheon High School in October 2014, and we have held on to the top spot every month since then.”

You don’t have to be in school to use Vocabulary.com. Millions of people play, learn new words, and compete on leaderboards just for fun.
