The Annual Marshall County Farm Bureau Legislative Luncheon was held Friday, March 11th at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth. U.S. Senator, Joe Donnelly, who serves on the Agriculture Committee, was the keynote speaker.
Close to a dozen FFA students from both Plymouth High School and Lincoln Junior High School got the opportunity to attend the Luncheon.
Samantha Steele, one of the two Vocational Agriculture Teachers at Plymouth High School, said it was a great experience for the entire Plymouth FFA Chapter.
Steele who also teaches Vocational Agriculture for half of the day at Lincoln Jr. High School said, “Students had the opportunity to meet influential agriculturalists in Marshall County at the Farm Bureau Luncheon and listen to Senator Donnelly talk about agricultural policies.”
During the Farm Bureau Luncheon, Plymouth Community School students got the chance to network with city, county and regional leaders.
note: Donnelly was transported from Plymouth High School to Christo’s by tractor with a police escort.
