Clay for Cancer 2016_skinTuesday evening, March 8th, freshmen and sophomore students in the Weidner School of Inquiry at Plymouth High School hosted a showcase event for the community.

Clay for Cancer 2016_brainFreshmen learners in Bio-Art participated in the 3rd annual Clay for Cancer fundraiser and educational presentations.   Student teams presented on a variety of cancers such as brain cancer, ovarian, testicular, pancreatic cancer, cervical cancer and more.  Their presentations to the public included a tri-fold board with basic information on the cancers, treatments, prevention and case studies where students researched famous individuals with the various cancers they researched.

Clay for Cancer 2016_ColonA silent auction was held during the hour of the student’s clay pieces.  Proceeds from the auction benefit the Marshall County Cancer.  During the past couple of years several thousand dollars have been donated to the Cancer Association.

Clay for Cancer 2016_ezraSophomore learners in the WSOI’s American Perspective class featured presentations responding to the question, “Has America Fully Recovered from the Great Depression?”
