In 2015 a group of downtown business owners and community members met to talk about downtown Plymouth and learn about a state sponsored initiative called Main Street. The Main Street initiative encourages the revitalization and restoration of downtown areas in Indiana cities and towns. The program provides technical assistance and educational opportunities to participating communities.
Since that meeting a small group of volunteers has been meeting regularly to formalize a plan to make Main Street a success. The Plymouth Main Street program, known as Discover Plymouth, will be holding an informational meeting and are looking for members of the community who would like to learn about how they can get involved to make downtown a place we all want to eat, shop, and live.
The meeting will be held on March 9th, 2016 at Wild Rose Moon, 115 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth at 6:00 pm.
