alzheimers-support-groupCaring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can be a challenge as well as rewarding experience. Support groups are a great opportunity for caregivers to receive disease education, learn coping strategies and tips from others who share a similar experience, and vent frustration and concerns in a safe, confidential environment.

On the Third Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. a support group that is Free and open to the public is available in Marshall County. This group is sponsored by Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, a division of Real Services, a not-for-profit agency offering a variety of programs and services for seniors in our community for the past 50 years and is held in the Life Enrichment Center at 1305 West Harrison Street in Plymouth.

For more information about this group or other free programs and services for caregivers, please call Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, toll-free, at (888) 303-0180.
