On Monday, February 22nd at approximately 12:58 pm Starke County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the Bass Lake Gas Station on a vehicle for a registration violation.
Starke County K9, Terror was deployed for a free air sniff and alerted on the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search was conducted and Starke County Officers located 2 baggies of Heroin on the floor of the vehicle, also in the vehicle was a smoking device.
The occupants of the vehicle were then transported to the Starke County Justice Center during the intake process Jail Staff located 5 more baggies of Heroin and some Marijuana.
Sierra Brown 21 years old of Knox has been initially charged with Dealing Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Bond has not been set at this time.
Justin O’Keefe, 27 years old of Knox and Joshua Barlow 28 years old also of Knox are initially charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance and were given a $300 cash bond.
