On Monday, February 22nd at approximately 12:58 pm Starke County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the Bass Lake Gas Station on a vehicle for a registration violation.

Starke County K9, Terror was deployed for a free air sniff and alerted on the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search was conducted and Starke County Officers located 2 baggies of Heroin on the floor of the vehicle, also in the vehicle was a smoking device.

The occupants of the vehicle were then transported to the Starke County Justice Center during the intake process Jail Staff located 5 more baggies of Heroin and some Marijuana.

StarkeCounty_MugShot_Sierra BrownSierra Brown 21 years old of Knox has been initially charged with Dealing Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Bond has not been set at this time.

StarkeCounty_MugShot_2-23-1Justin O’Keefe, 27 years old of Knox and Joshua Barlow 28 years old also of Knox are initially charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance and were given a $300 cash bond.
