Tobacco-CessationSaint Joseph Health System (SJHS) is hosting a FREE seven-week Tobacco Cessation Class at the Mishawaka Medical Center. The “Freedom from Smoking” class will be held from 6 until 7:30 p.m. beginning September 23rd in the medical center’s Garden Level Education Center, Conference Room E.

Offered through SJHS Outreach Services, the class is designed as a resource for community members to eliminate their use of tobacco products.

The class is held every Wednesday for seven weeks, and is recommended for individuals who are trying to quit and need a little help along the way.

Led by Tobacco Education Coordinator Latorya Greene, course topics include:  understanding addiction to nicotine, learning importance of behavior change, mastering the first few days, mastering obstacles, staying quit and enjoying life

All classes are held September 23 and 30, October 7, 14, 21 and 28 and November 4.
