Tough scoring conditions at Stonehenge for the Pilgrims tonight.  Playing lift clean place everywhere and rake and place in bunkers helped however the low temps, wind, and soggy turf created inconsistent ball striking tonight.

Junior Reis Yoder and Senior Zach Craft had stabilizing rounds of 41 leading the Varsity.  Senior Nate Kolter struggled with the flat stick and was able to grind out a 42.  Our lack of a decent fourth score allowed the hosts from Warsaw to sneak past us by 3 shots — second time this season we’ve been edged out by 3 shots to Warsaw.  Our team total of 170 was good enough to defeat Elkhart Memorial by three shots.  The Varsity is 1-1 now in NLC round robin play.
The JV shot a season high 208 and also split their opening NLC match defeating Elkhart Memorial and loosing to Warsaw.  Sophomore Curtis Smith lead the team with 49, the only sub 50 round from our younger crew tonight.
Wednesday’s NLC match with Northridge and Concord at PCC was rained out and has been rescheduled for Friday night at PCC with play beginning at5:30pm.
