The Marshall County Reading Council awarded its Celebrate Literacy awards this year to the Plymouth Optimists for their generous and constant financial support of the Young Authors’ Conference and to Bremen educator Emilie Huffman.  Emilie made a difference in the lives of many children as a second and third grade teacher. Upon her retirement, Emilie kept working to make a difference in the lives of children in her hometown and throughout the county.  Besides being a long-time Reading Council member, Emilie volunteered to escort last year’s Young Authors’ guest Michelle Houts around the county.
