04/11/14 On Wednesday, April 9th at 3:28 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer arrested 26 year old Shannon N. Borem of Plymouth at the Plymouth Police Department after she was found to have an active warrant through Marshall County. The warrant was for Theft and Welfare Fraud. Borem was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,505 bond. She was released later that night at 6:05 P.M. after posting bond.
A short time later at 4:05 P.M. Wednesday, Officer Joe Deisch responded to Walmart in reference to a female shoplifter. 27 year old Jennifer A. Pegan of Walkerton was taken into custody for Theft. Pegan was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,505 bond. She was released at 8:05 P.M. after posting bond and will appear in Superior Court I on April 29th.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
