04/05/14  “Connect” a relationship based program to prevent bullying will be presented at Riverside Intermediate School.  “Connect” is designed to help parents, teachers and school staff develop healthy relationships with people they relate to, whether in a classroom or at home.

This FREE training will be hosted at Riverside Intermediate School for teachers, staff and family members of the Plymouth Community School Corporation and the community in general.  “Connect” offers the unique opportunity for participants to share dreams, challenges and life stories in a safe and honest way. In turn the group becomes closer thus eliminating aggressive behavior.

Through impacting and interactive activities, teens and adults carefully explore the reasons why people isolate themselves from one another. Discussion promotes positive change and attitude of respect towards one another, their communities and the environment.

Over 700 students have completed “Cpnnect” this year and over 1,300 students have completed the program since its inception in 2012. There have also been 80 plus principals, teachers, staff and parents that have completed the program.

To see what “Connect” is all about, plan on attending the workshop on Tuesday, April 22nd and Wednesday, April 23rd from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M. at the Riverside Intermediate School. There will be refreshments and Professional Growth Points provided. Those interested are asked to please RSVP by April 16th to ecobb@plymouth.k12.in.us
