PLYMOUTH – Jennifer Calhoun will be the featured artist of the month at Heartland Artists Gallery. Jennifer is a very talented and prolific artist. Her work was recently reviewed by Claudia Maslowski of the South Bend Museum of Art wrote regarding Jennifer’s work, “Jennifer’s oil paintings are exquisite in theme, color and technique. Using vibrant colors, she captures the richness of the moment in her still life paintings. Her landscapes, equally vibrant, create wonderment of that which lies beyond the winding brook.”
Jennifer started taking art lessons soon after the birth of her first child and continued painting for ten years eventually her work led her to compete in many shows including the prestigious Gold Coast Art Show in downtown Chicago. Her credits include awards for “Best in Oils” and “Best in Show”.
After her original ten years, Jennifer took a hiatus from art but she has again found her passion for the arts. Jennifer says “she is thrilled to be back to her passion of painting. Heartland is very thrilled that Jennifer has brought her passion to share her talents with the folks of Marshall County.
Jennifer will have something for everyone during this show. She will show original works plus prints, postcards, and magnets. You are bound to something that appeals to you.
The works of Jennifer Calhoun will be on display at Heartland Artists Gallery from April 1st and continuing until April 27th. Heartland Artist Gallery is located at 103 W. LaPorte Saturday. Heartland is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am until 4 pm.
