PHS Gymnast Moves on to State Competition

  03/17/14 Two Lady Pilgrim gymnasts competed in the Hunting North Regionals last night.  Senior Nicole Davis and Junior Cassi Quissell earned their spots in the Regional field by qualifying at Sectionals last weekend.  Junior Cassi Quissell became the first Plymouth High School Gymnast to qualify out of Regionals into State.  The top 6 gymnasts on each event move on to compete at State on those events and the top 6 gymnasts in All-Around move on to compete on all events.  All-Around is the score received by combining the scores received on the four events: Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.  Cassi Quissell placed 5^th on Bars and 4^th on Beam.  She placed 5^th All-Around so she will compete at State on Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.  Senior Nicole Davis suffered a sprained ankle on Vault and was unable to continue with the meet. 

Cassi will travel to Ball State University on Friday to participate in State Meet warm-up and practice activities and compete on Saturday, March 22^nd.
