02/04/14 The Plymouth School Board will convene on Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 P.M. in the Administration Board Room on Berkley St. in Plymouth. The meeting is open to the public; however, comments from the audience are limited to agenda items only.

Among agenda items listed is a report on security; indemnification policy/resolution; and consideration of an amendment to the Rainy Day Resolution.

The Board will also consider snow make-up days as well as information on summer school for 2014.

There will also be a presentation on possible additions to Lincoln Junior High’s new curriculum. New courses that will be considered include: Humanities, combines standards from both language arts and social studies; Introduction Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, prerequisite to and a foundation for all other agricultural classes; Medical Detectives, 9 weeks elective class using hands-on projects and labs; and Science of Technology (7th Grade Science Integration), students would apply concepts of physics, chemistry, and nanotechnology.

During the last portion of the meeting, Superintendent Daniel Tyree will link activities throughout the various schools in the corporation to the core values of commitment to students, caring, high expectations, team player, integrity and enjoyment.
