PLYMOUTH, IN – With a score of 25-22, 25-14, and 25-23 Ancilla volleyball lost to Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Mariah Kinney and Amber Redinger both had eight kills while Mieka Wagner added four. 22 assists came from Courtney Griffith (12) and Suzanne Grimm (10). The defense was led by Hannah Sneed with twelve digs. Griffith and Redinger also contributed five aces; three and two respectively.

“Kalamazoo Valley is a good team. Their offense is quick and deceptive. They are an athletic group and we played right with them in sets one and three. I would like to see us come out on top in some of these close sets; again we struggled with our mental toughness,” noted Charger coach Lana Singleton.

Thursday, September 19, Ancilla will host their conference match up versus Lake Michigan College at 6:30 p.m.

Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associate’s Degree and eight athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
