08/12/13 August 8, 2013 – Over the past week, kids in grades kindergarten to fifth learned to “Stand Strong” for God and had fun doing it through Adam Street Ministries Vacation Bible School, Kingdom Rock.

During the five mornings, the kids experienced Epic Bible Adventures, worked on various science experiments and crafts, met various Bible Buddies, and participated in Tournament Games. The theme of this year’s Vacation Bible School was “Kingdom Rock” and the First United Church of Christ was transformed into a medieval castle.

As a mission project, the kids were asked to bring in food items for the food pantry. The 75 plus kids brought in 108 items of food that will be donated. A special thanks goes to the 45 plus people who volunteered their time to make this year’s Vacation Bible School a huge success.

The purpose of Adams Street Ministries is to provide a 5th-12th grade youth program for the five member Plymouth Churches: First United Church of Christ, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Plymouth Church of the Brethren, & St. Thomas Episcopal Church. This ministry provides an environment that promotes spiritual growth, fellowship, and community service. It is open to all youth in the community.
