08/08/13 Members of the Plymouth Park Board approved a new job description for one of their employees. One of the full-time labor maintenance positions will have an additional duty of City Forester.
The city is working on becoming a Tree City USA and with the additional park areas Park Superintendent Mike Hite and Mayor Mark Senter felt that current employee Cameron Arnold, the city’s current arborist.
Hite said the position will not only care for trees in the park system but throughout the city. There will be a slight pay increase for the additional responsibilities.
The Park Board unanimously approved the new job description.
In other business the board approved free use of the amphitheatre for the Christmas for Kids motorcycle ride on August 24th.
