01/03/13 Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the December Jail Report. The Top Ten Offenses for being lodged in the County Jail last month were: number 10 Domestic Battery, 9 were holds for other counties, 8 Probation Violations, 7 Operator Never Licensed, and 6th Marijuana.  The top five reasons why people were booked into the jail in December were 5 Possession of a Controlled Substance, 4 Failure to Appear, 3 Driving While Suspended, 2 Theft, and the number one reason was Operating While Intoxicated.

There were 127 jail bookings in December with Argos officers arresting 3 males and Bourbon police who arrested 1 male.  Bremen police arrested 8 males and 1 female last month while Culver police had no arrests.  Troopers with the Indiana State Police arrested 8 males in December with Plymouth Police officers arresting 29 males and 16 females and County Police Officers booking in 49 males and 7 females.

121 accident reports were taken by County Police officers in December.  13 accidents involved personal injury and 108 were property damage only.

County Police Officers did 78 case reports and wrote 16 citations.  714 civil process papers were received at the Sheriff’s Department last month and 404 civil process papers were served.
