12/27/13 A traffic stop Sunday night led to a warrant arrest of a Plymouth man.

Plymouth Patrolman Ben McIntyre pulled over a vehicle driven by 22 year old Kyle J. Calhoun of Plymouth for a traffic violation at Jefferson and Gill Street. After running Calhoun’s driver’s license Officer McIntyre discovered there was a warrant for Calhoun’s arrest on a failure to appear in Allen County. The warrant was confirmed by Allen County and Calhoun was taken to the Marshall County Jail to await extradition.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
