Chase Peters did all he could to give Plymouth a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past CMA, as Plymouth lost 4-2 in seven innings at Nixon Field on Tuesday.

Plymouth was led by Peters‘ hitting. Peters went 2-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Kyle Bartelman recorded the win for CMA. He allowed one run over five innings. Bartelman struck out three, walked none and gave up six hits.

CMA closer Cole Grandel put away the final six outs to record the save.

Plymouth jumped out to an early 1-1 lead in the bottom of the first. Plymouth‘s rally started when Peters doubled. A groundout by Joe Knapp then moved Peters from second to third. Then a fielder’s choice scored Peters.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as CMA scored one run on a steal of home by Ralph Laux.

CMA scored one run in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the Seventh. In the fifth, CMA scored on an RBI single by Anthony McHugh, plating Bartelman.
