Plymouth lost 3-1 to Warsaw on Monday despite Chase Peters‘s spectacular day from both the mound and the plate.

Peters boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace Plymouth. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Peters baffled Warsaw, striking out six batters. Peters allowed three earned runs on three hits and four walks over six innings.  He carried a perfect game performance heading into the fifth inning.

Forde Ness recorded the win for Warsaw. He allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings. Ness struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Warsaw never trailed after scoring three runs in the fifth on a two-run double by Brock Anson and a solo home run by Austin Moore.

In the sixth inning, Plymouth pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Ike Kastner.
