02/08/12 The Argos girls’ bowling team competed in the Michigan City Regional on Saturday. The girls’ team finished in 10th place with a score of 2,034. Competing for the girls were Brittani Brown, Liz Hack, Jina Ewing, Abby Cohagan, Jamie Ewing, and Chelsea Bradley.
In the singles event, Jamie Ewing and Abby Cohagan will advance to the semi-state in Ft. Wayne this Saturday at Pro Bowl West. Jamie shot a 524 to finish 10th, and Abby shot 498 to finish 15th. Also competing in the singles event was Jina Ewing who shot a 445 and did not advance. The top 16 girls advance to the semi-state.
Girls’ regional team winner was Lake Central. Girls’ singles winner was Carly Larson from Merrillville.
