The Lincoln Boys 7th Grade Basketball team finished undefeated in the conference with a win over Edgewood (Warsaw) on Tuesday night. With the win The Redstorm finished the regular season at 18-3 and in first place in the conference.
Lincoln controlled the game through 3 quarters and led 31-19 after three. But an aggressive full court press by Edgewood closed the gap to 3 points with less than 2 minutes left.
Travis Owen converted a 3 point play and found John Gerard for a layup in the final minutes to seal the victory. Leading the way for Lincoln was Nick Felke with 13 points followed by Gerard who netted 12 points.
The Redstorm begins round one of the NELMSC Conference Tournament at home against Warsaw Lakeview on Thursday the 26th.
