06/21/11 Monday morning at 12:25 Officer Wally Derifield of the Plymouth Police Department attempted to stop a pick-up truck on State Road 17 at Hillcrest for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 32 year old Domingo Robles of Monterey refused to stop.
Officer Derifield along with other officers including the Plymouth Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Culver Police and Starke County Sheriff’s Department assisted in a pursuit of Mr. Robles.
During the pursuit Officer Jordan Rans of the Plymouth Police Department and Officer Travis O’Neal of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department both were involved in separate accidents. Both officers only received minor bumps and bruises and were treated and released from the hospital but it appears that their patrol vehicles were totaled.
Mr. Robles was apprehended near 6349 600E in Monterey. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for driving while suspended and resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $1,000.
