06/20/11 Argos Schools Librarian Mary Jackson recently released the names of children who joined attained the grade level goals for the Book Clubs.
Argos Elementary students completed the 100 Book Club challenge and were presented with their hand-designed T-shirts at the annual spring Awards Program. The shirts were designed by first grade teacher Jenny Harness and the entire project was the “brain-child” of first grade teacher Barbara Brown. First and second graders were required to read 100 books; 3rd and 4th graders were required to read 75 books and 5th and 6th graders were required to read 50 books. The students also had to pass electronic quizzes on these books.
