02/28/11 The baby that was involved in a near drowning incident in Plymouth on February 20th died Friday morning February 25th at 11:21 in Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
15 month old Landen Sarabia, the son of Martin and Savannah Nick Sarabia was in a bathtub just before 8 p.m. on February 20th and was found face down in the water. According to a witness the child was left alone for less than 15 seconds.
Plymouth Police and EMS were dispatched to the scene when a 9-1-1 caller said the 15 month old was not breathing. CPR was in progress when emergency responders arrived on the scene.
The baby was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and then on the Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Funeral services are under the direction of Johnson Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Investigator Ted Brown with the Plymouth Police Department will present a case to the Prossecutor’s Office for review.
