01/12/11  The Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold their annual meeting on Tuesday, January 25th at the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with a wonderful meal prepared by the Mary Martha Circle.

Special guest speaker for the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual meeting will be farmer humorist Kevin Cox.   Mr. Cox farms with his family in Parke, Putnam and Clay Counties where they produce corn, soybeans, and wheat.  The also finish 100 to 150 feeder cattle per year.  They have installed nearly 2 million feet of tile and over 5 miles of waterway.

Cox and his wife Brenda of 28 years have three children: Trent 23, Sarah 22, and Trisha 16.

Kevin is very active in his community where he serves as the Parke County Farm Bureau president, serves as a Director on the Board of the Parke County REMC, and serves on the Board of Directors of Farm Credit Services of Mid-America. 

He is also a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church where he teaches, directs the choir and music, and serves as a deacon. 

Cox has a passion to make a difference in this world.  His desire is to challenge you, motivate you, and make you laugh.
