12/06/10 The Plymouth Park and Recreation Board will hold a public meeting immediately following the Park Board meeting on Monday, December 6th, 2010. The Park Board meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. and is held at the Conservation Clubhouse located at 720 Magnetic Parkway in Plymouth.

Their agenda includes the financial report, superintendent’s report and committee reports.  Under facilities the Farmers’ Market Committee is asking to leave the small building at the downtown park in place during the winter.  The board will consider approval of meeting dates for the Park Board meetings in 2011 and are expected to approve the “Assurance of compliance with section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973” for the 5-year plan.  Other agenda items include approval of the 2011 non-reverting budget and a request of $41,000 from the Redevelopment Commission for the preliminary design for the downtown park.

The special public input meeting immediately following the regular monthly Park Board meeting is a chance for the public to express what they would like to see the Park Department accomplish in the next five years.   All input will be included in the Park Department’s Five Year Plan.
