11/10/10 Marshall County Sheriff Jon VanVactor released the October activity report for his department.

County police officers responded to 66 accidents last month.  56 accidents were property damage while 9 were personal injury and there was 1 fatality.

County police officers pulled 107 case reports in October.  County investigation included 8 battery cases, 6 burglaries, 1 child abuse/molesting, 15 criminal mischief complaints, 4 domestic batteries and 1 driving while suspended.  Additional investigation handled by the Sheriff’s Department included 2 fraud complaints, 2 harassments, 3 identity deceptions, 5 illegal drug lab or meth trash labs, and 2 complaints of intimidation.  Other callers were for invasion of privacy 2, 4 juvenile runaways or incorrigible, 3 leaving the scene of accidents, 2 operating while intoxicated, 2 possession of marijuana, 1 public intox., 2 resisting, 25 thefts, and 17 other cases.

County police officers completed 9 court orders transports and served 704 civil papers.
