10/18/10 Ancilla College hosted its annual Donor Recognition Dinner on October 7, located in Cana Hall on the Donaldson-based campus.

Over 150 of the College’s most generous donors were on hand as Ancilla College President Dr. Ron May presented Gordon Taiclet, with the Ancilla Award.

The Ancilla Award, initiated in 1975, is Ancilla College’s highest award and honors someone who has shown distinguished community service and who has been a loyal and dedicated supporter of Ancilla College.

Nearly 60 Lampen Award Honorees, many of whom were in attendance, were recognized on the evening for having each donated in excess of $1000 in the past fiscal year.

Betty Chesak, President of the Ancilla Alumni Association, was also on hand to present Lilly Myers with the Sr. Mary D. Outstanding Alumni Award.

All in attendance were treated to a catered dinner by Hoosier Catering.

“We are thankful for the continued generosity of those who make financial gifts to the college,” said Dr. May.  “Through their continued support we are able to provide high quality educational opportunities to students in north central Indiana.  This dinner is just a small way we can publically thank those who support the college. ”

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
