10/08/10 On Tuesday, October 5th at 5:44 PM Patrolman Matt Brown with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to US 30 and Beech Road in reference to a two vehicle accident.
Upon arriving on the scene the driver of a 2000 Ford Explorer, 54 year old Martin Rock of Bourbon advised that he was traveling north on Beech Road and crossed the eastbound lanes of US 30 and the median and then struck a 2001 Audi Quattro driven by 43 year old Shelly Petronis of Lakeville.
Petronis was traveling west on US 30 just east of Beech Road in the passing lane and observed the Ford Explore traveling north on Beech Road. The driver of the Audi stated she swerved into the right hand lane but was unable to avoid the collision.
The driver of the Audi, Shelly Petroni was treated at the scene for minor neck injuries. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by the Bourbon Police Department, Bourbon Fire and bourbon EMS.
