2nd District Congressman Joe Donnelly will host a panel of experts who will discuss a variety of scams that have recently been attempted against senior citizens and offer advice on how seniors can keep their personal information and finances safe.  Topics include Social Security, Medicare “donut hole” payments, and internet banking fraud.  The seminar will be held at the Fulton County Community Center on Pontiac Street in Rochester at 10 a.m. on Friday.  The event is free and open to all seniors.

At 10:30 Donnelly will conduct a Veterans History Project interview with World War II veteran Glen Cleland of Fulton County.  This is the sixth in Donnelly’s series of Veterans History Project interviews with a veteran from each of the 12 counties in Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District. The interview will be conducted at the Rochester Public Library on West 7th Street.

Congressman Donnelly will then host a panel of veterans’ service providers to discuss the benefits and health care services available to Hoosier veterans.  Representatives from the Indianapolis Regional Office of the Veterans Benefits Administration, VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Indiana Veterans’ Home in Lafayette, and two county Veterans Service Officers will present information and answer questions about how veterans can apply for and receive the benefits they’ve earned.

This event will also be held at the Rochester Public Library at 11:30 on Friday.
