The Marshall County Alternative High School located in Plymouth showed another year of success. Teacher Suzie Clevenger made her annual report on the progress of students at the Plymouth School Board meeting on June 10.
Clevenger said of the 45 seniors enrolled in the program, 40 will be graduating and three more will likely complete the necessary credits for graduation during the summer.
Good news also came in the form of ISTEP results. According to Clevenger, 96 percent of the total 54 students enrolled in the program from grades 9-12 passed both parts of the ISTEP test for the 2009-2010 school year.
Two students withdrew from the program during the school year; however, Clevenger said they are both currently enrolled GED program.
She also reported that the average daily attendance of AHS students while attending the program was 92 percent.
Board members praised Clevenger for her dedication and the continued success of the alternative program.
